| Location Tolokiwa Island is located in the Vitiaz Strait between the Huon Peninsula on the north coast of New Guinea and the western tip of New Britain. To the west is Long Island. To the southeast is Umboi Island (Rooke, Rook). Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of New Guinea. Today spans Morobe Province and Madang Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
