Location
Lat 5° 36′ 12″ S Long 146° 26′ 39″ E Helmholtz Point is located on the Rai Coast portion of the north coast of New Guinea. To the south is Wab. To the east is the Nankina River and beyond Saidor and Saidor Airfield. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in Madang District in the Territory of New Guinea. Today, located in Rai Coast Rural LLG, Rai Coast District of Madang Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
