Location
Lat 5° 32' 60S Long 146° 4' 0E Dumun village is located at an elevation of 331' / 100m inland from the north coast of New Guinea. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in Madang District in the Territory of New Guinea. Today, located in Rai Coast Rural LLG, Rai Coast District of Madang Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Wartime History
During 1943 until early 1944 Dumun was used as an observation post by the Japanese Army.
