Location
Maikoor Island is located in the west of the Aru Island Group (Aroe). Also spelled Maikor Island. Borders Kobroor Island to the east and Koba Island to the southeast and Tarangan Island to the south. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today part of Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku) in Indonesia.
