Background
On April 6, 1942 No. 2 Operational Training Unit (No. 2 OTU) in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) was formed at Port Pirie Airfield in South Australia.
At the end of the Pacific War, the remaining aircraft were placed into storage and later writtern off and scrapped including
P-40E Kittyhawk A29-132 and P-40M Kittyhawk A29-366.
