Location
The Andaman Sea is a marginal sea bounded by the Bay of Bengal to the west. Borders the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India to the west, Myanmar (Burma) and the western coast of the Malay Peninsula in Malaysia and the west of Thailand. Also known as the Burma Sea.
Wartime History
During World War II, Axis surface raiders and submarines continued to operated in the Bay of Bengal.
