WEDNESDAY, 25 MARCH 1942
Burma: Chinese 200th Division is virtually besieged in Toungoo. Elements of T-55th Div arrive N of the town but do not attack. Burma I Corps is ordered to concentrate in Prome-Allanmyo area.
SOUTHWEST PACIFIC AREA (SWPA, 5th Air Force): 16th Bombardment Squadron and 17th Bombardment Squadron, 27th Bombardment Group, cease operating from Brisbane
with A-24s and begin moving to Charters
Towers.
U.S. Army: 162nd Infantry Regiment arrives Bora Bora.
U.S. Navy: USS California (BB-44) sunk on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor is sucessfully refloated then placed into dry dock for repairs.
RAAF: Force landed and undamaged is P-40E
Kittyhawk A29-8.
