Lat 8° 18' 35" S Long 148° 12' 17" E The Opi Rier is located on the north coast of New Guinea. On the south side of Opi River mouth is Opi village. To Beyond to the north is Ambasi. Beyond to the south is mouth of the Kumusi River. The Opi river meanders westward in a generally flat swampy area. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the Northern District in the Territory of Papua. Today located Oro Bay Rural LLG, Ijivitari District of Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
