Location
Between 1884 until September 1914 part of Deutsch Neu Guinea (German New Guinea). Prewar and during World War II the Morobe District was located in the Territory of New Guinea (TNG). Postwar, the two territories: Territory of New Guinea and Territory of Papua were combined into Papua New Guinea. On September 16, 1975 became Morobe Province in the Papua New Guinea (PNG).
