Location
Lat 9° 26' 60S Long 147° 57' 23E Mimia is located at an elevation of 3349' / 1,020m in the Owen Stanley Range in New Guinea. Also known as "Mimai" an incorrect spelling or "Mimias". To the northwest is Myola. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of Papua. Today located in Kairuku-Hiri District of Central Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
