Location
Lat 7° 53' 16S Long 147° 8' 28E Garaina is located at an elevation 2,509' in the interior of New Guinea. Also spelled "Garina" in some sources. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Wartime History
During the war, a two man observation post was located in the vicinity.
