Location
Vakinankaratra Region is located in the central highlands of Madagascar. One of the four regions that comprised the the former Antananarivo Province. Borders Bongolava Region in the northwest, Itasy Region in the north, Analamanga Region to the northeast, Alaotra Mangoro Region and Atsinanana Region in the east, Amoron'i Mania Region to the south, and Menabe Region to the west. The regional capital is Antsirabe.
