34° 3′ 0″ N Long 131° 48′ 0″ E Shūnan (Shunan) is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture in the Chūgoku Region along the southern coast of Honshū in Japan. During 2003, Tokuyama merged with the city of Shinnan'yō, the town of Kumage in the Kumage District, and the town of Kano, in the Tsuno District. Together, these formed the new city of Shūnan.
