Ōita Prefecture 大分県 is located in the northeast of Kyūshū in Japan. Also spelled Oita Prefecture. To the north and east borders the Seto Inland Sea. To the northwest and west borders Fukuoka Prefecture. To the southwest borders Kumamoto Prefecture. To the south borders Miyazaki Prefecture.
