The Special Capital Region of Jakarta includes Jakarta (Batavia, Djogkarta, Jacarta, Djakarta, Jogkarta) the national capital of Indonesia. Prewar and during the Pacific War known as Batavia in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today, Jakarta is the national capital of Indonesia located in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta also known as the Jakarta Special Capital City Region.
