Location
Brazil is the largest nation in South America and spans both Latin America and South America. Officially the República Federativa do Brasil (Federative Republic of Brazil). The capital is Brasília. Borders the Atlantic Ocean to the east and borders Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.
Wartime History
On January 15, 1942 the third Conference of Foreign Ministers of the 21 American Republics convenes in Rio de Janeiro to secure a unanimous and binding resolution to sever relations with the Axis powers. The conference ends on January 28, 1942.
