TUESDAY, 28 NOVEMBER 1950
U.S. Navy: F4U-1P Corsair 122169 piloted by Ensign W. G. Wagner (VF-33) crash lands in North Korea after being hit by AA fire. The 3rd Air Rescue was notified and pilot Robert B. Parker volunteered to attempt a rescue piloting
H-5H Dragonfly 49-2009 helicopter piloted by Robert B. Parker with medical technician Pfc Desmond Roy Wilkerson attempted to rescue him. After locating him, the helicopter crashed into mountain in low visibility, killing all three.
