U.S. Navy: The first verifiable "jet versus jet" kill was the shoot down of a MiG-15 120125 piloted by Capt Grachyov from the 139th Guards Fighter Regiment shot down by US Navy F9F Panther L/C Wm Amen C. O. of VF-111 off the USS Philippine Sea (CV-47).
