Aircraft History Built by Douglas. Constructor Number 2672. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Corps (USAAC) as B-18 Bolo serial number 39-025. On June 20, 1941 became part of the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF). On November 3, 1944 assigned at McKellar Field at Jackson, Tennessee. Postwar This B-18 was registered in the United States as NC62477. During 1958, pperated from Cuba and used by Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (FAR) the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. During December 1960, returned to the United States. Display This B-18 was acquired by Wings Over The Rockies Museum. The plane was restored to static display in olive drab upper surfaces and gray lower surfaces with U.S. star insignia and with a tail rudder with red and white stripes and a veritcal blue line. At one time, this aircraft was also displayed at Cannon Air Force Base Museum. Later, restored to an unpainted aluminium finish. The bomber has U.S. star with red dot and tail code with 26 28MB and a rudder with red and white stripes and a veritcal blue line. Today, displayed indoors at Wings Over The Rockies Museum in an airfield diorama display, painted in the markings of B-18 Bolo 39-522.
